May 16 - Fly Gals - fly shop orientation -
May 17 - Crest Academy - fly casting and fishing (4th-8th graders) - Salida -
May 24 - BV 6th graders - bugs and water quality -
May 25 - BV 6th graders - fly & bubble free fishing -
May 27 - Leadville 5th graders - Pathways to fishing -
June 12 - Flyfishing 101 - Salida (water quality, bugs, casting, fishing, tying) -
June 19 - Flyfishing 101 - Buena Vista (water quality, bugs, casting, fishing, tying) -
July 4 - Salida Kids Fishing Derby - Franz Lake -
July 10 - Kids water ecology - GARNA -
August 22 - Chapter Picnic & Statewide Waters Clean-up Day - Go to your favorite place (river,stream, lake) and pick up some trash. Then either dispose of it or bring it to the chapter picnic at Lee Dragoon's in Howard - NEW - we'll be roasting 2 pigs instead of having filets! Contact Steve at
September 4 - Buena Vista Kids Fishing Derby - Town Lake, Registration at 9, start at 10. Contact Vern at to volunteer to help.

April newsletter October 13 - Annual Year in Review Potluck Dinner. Come help celebrate our chapter's 25th Anniversary and see what our chapter has done these many years. Again, bring a dish to share, beverage (ok to bring your own beer or wine), table service and chapter will provide main dish. We'll have a media presentation and MAYBE some door prizes! Social time 5:30, dinner at 6 pm.
Location is at Granzella Hall, 450 Palmer, in Salida. Look for our sign.
